Alright, I've got two updates for you guys:
1.) Mindspy The Mindspy buff itself will now last 1 hour. Community feedback showed the Defensive abilities to be the most popular, relatively speaking. Chief complaints were the tedium associated with using them. As such what has mostly been altered with Defensive abilities is that annoyance. Mindspy Defensive buffs will last longer where applicable (some are supposed to be short, like the ward, and won't change), the long lasting buffs will hit the whole group, and some have also been just plain improved upon. Mindspy Preservation is gone. Feedback indicated this whole discipline to be the least used. So it will be replaced with Mindspy Weakness, which combines a large cheap (low to no power) nuke in tandem with a debuffing effect to the mob's own abilities. Those "own abilities" will continue to be gained by the Psi from Mindspy Aggression, but will be upgraded: to be used more frequently, have a low to no power cost, do more damage, apply an additional effect, and be more effective with the pre-applied Mindspy Weakness debuffing nuke. In some cases the now removed Preservation effect will be retained as the extra effect on the revamped Aggression nukes for that racial type. So for maximum effect, a mob will be mindpsied weakness, nuked with that to damage and weaken, then mindspied aggression, and hit with that for devastating damage. 2.) Concentrations Concentrations are being consolidated. The Psionicist will now have 3 basic Concentrations. The offensive concentration of PR will remain as it is. The mana siphoning concentration of TT will also remain unchanged. Cerebral Bastion however, is being merged into Astral Form to create a total defensive concentration. This new Astral Form will no longer be called Astral Form, but will instead be called Planar Projection. Planar Projection will essentially be a catch all term for a series of upgrades to our new defensive concentration, each of which overwrites the previous version on our concentration bar. There will no longer be a GAF, the self levitation ability will be received individually at level 20, and the gestalt will now bestow a new aura like ability, still for level 50. For the new Planar Projection concentration first is Ethereal Projection, which is essentially the same as AF is now. At level 30 Ethereal Projection will be replaced with Astral Projection which will be a base improvement over EP along with immunity to things like stun/fear/mez. Essentially a merger of AF with CB. At level 50 AP will be replaced with Trancendence which will improve upon AP and will also provide additional benefits.
Here's an update on some of what we've discussed since the original list was submitted.
Damage needs to be increased. Developers agree, and it's going to be, all around. Psionic Barrier needs to scale better with level Developers agree. Thought Pulse self-damage is excessive. This has been discussed and they agree Enthrall re-applied without breaking, like invis or mez. Not going to change. Memory shift needs to be better to be usefull As was mistakenly shown on test, this is indeed getting an upgrade Psionic Rage Concentration form .... Haven't gotten into Concentrations yet Make thrall spell bar more functional. Made them aware of the problems with the thrall's pet bar, and they are looking into it. I plan on bringing it up again in the future Simulacrum ignoring heal agro would be super duper This is being taking care of, and simulacrumed mobs will no longer get heal agro Make simulacrum cancelable. Haven't discussed yet Mind wipe more effective. Like memory shift, some details of this revision have already been revealed New spell icons, fewer brains, more variety and distinctiveness. Haven't discussed yet Graphics for each stance, change Astral form graphic to be dissimilar to invisibility. Haven't gotten into Concentrations yet Make battle spam list who breaks mezes. Haven't discussed yet Vast Psyche not applying to other groups in raid. Haven't discussed alot of new stuff to the point of making decisions on it. It's been mostly fixing the pre-existing problems and evaluating and reworking Mindspy. Except for the underlined one. Biofeedback is not going to happen. I thought for a second we had discussed the Displaced Sight one but now that I'm thinking back on it I'm not so sure. They either said it wasn't possible or we didn't discuss it.
I haven't gotten a chance to bring up too much PvP stuff, but I plan on bringing it up in the not too distant future. Look for me on the PvP server under the handle Psiclasslead (original no, but someone already had taken Brahman) to talk a bit more with the Psionicists there. He's level 8 at the moment and as I will be away for the weekend I will probably first start querying the Psi PvP community sometime after the 10th. Crowd Control Concentration This idea was basically nixed. It was decided however that some of the ideas for this should be implemented as standard, i.e. a longer lasting and more reliable enthrall And Mindspy needs to be completely re-worked. This is basically what we've been working on and discussing for the past week or two, and why I've been canvassing the community here and in /mindsay about how people use Mindspy, what they like, what they don't like and so forth. We've already decided on some pretty significant changes I just don't know what I can bring up and what I can't so I won't elaborate on it just yet. Before mindspy discussions we spent alot of time just talking about what people do and don't use in an attempt to make all our abilities usefull. We've also spent a fair amount of time discussing new CC abilities and the tactics associated with them, which I won't go in to because nothing is final in this regard. Things like the damage increase didn't really even need to be discussed. I was flat out told we don't trade DPS for CC. We "are" DPS, with CC utility, and so our DPS needs to be commensurate to that role. Having said that as far as CC goes I have also been told that we are supposed to be the best, and so changes are being made to ensure that as well. I think the next thing we'll be going over are the Concentrations. My priorities will be trying to get some improvements for PR and making CB a worthwhile stance in lieu of a CC concentration. With regard to the pace of our progress, keep in mind our changes don't come out till Update 5, and 4 isn't even off test yet, which of course means developer time is still being spent on that as well.

Alright this is more an announcement than a report:
I was informed today by Tal to send him information compiled for our turn. That's right, the Psionicist turn has arrived and changes made will go live with GU5 (I don't have a date for GU5).
Just a couple things to report:
It was mentioned and verified that casting Simulacrum V on an immune mob draws agro whereas none of the previous version did. Simulacrum V is to be fixed to behave as the previous versions do. Many Psi's with all three Mindspy abilities have noticed that after casting all three on a mob when you leaf through your spell book you find that you don't have three Mindspied abilities to cast. The second ability to spied tends to poof. This will be corrected so that you can have three mindspied abilities in your book, one from each discipline, as intended.
Well, though there are some fixes already in the pipe for our class, it is not technically our turn yet. Tal has had some free time, and during that time we've talked and have been going over some of the class' bugs. We've also talked a little bit about what the future holds for the class, but an in depth conversation will have to wait until it's our turn. Which, fear not, is imminent. As for what specifically I'm going to push, I plan on bringing up everything. Anything anyone here suggests (with the exception of ideas that are obviously impractical, impossible, overpowering, and/or inappropriate to the class lorewise) I plan on bringing up. I have a list of all the common suggestions I read here or in /mind, along with hash marks next to them to indicate how often those suggestions or similar ones come up to gauge the relative importance of those things among the community. I see my role more as a conduit with a coarse filter than a randomly selected player with his own opinions and priorities. Currently I see four community priorities that I plan to stress and those are: 1.) A crowd control concentration, or if a concentration is not possible a general enhancement 2.) A dps boost 3.) A rework for mindspy 4.) A replacement for Lure (which is in someways part of the 1st priority)
